BREAKING: $903 Billion Giant Interactive Brokers Launches Ethereum Staking — 5 Million Clients Can Now Earn on ETH

Ethereum price news Interactive Brokers launches ETH staking $903 billion broker Zerohash trading

One of the biggest brokers in the world has just given Ethereum a new boost. Interactive Brokers launched Ethereum staking on October 13, opening the service to its eligible clients in the United States. The move means millions of regular stock traders can now earn rewards on the ETH they hold, without leaving their normal brokerage account.

The staking runs through Zerohash, which provides the back-end system. Clients send staking and unstaking requests from a Staking Dashboard inside the broker's Client Portal, and they can track pending activity there. Rewards are added to the staked balance, so earnings can grow on top of earlier earnings while the coins stay staked.

The size of this broker is what makes the news big. Interactive Brokers looks after more than $903 billion in client assets and serves over 5 million clients around the world. It already offers trading in 20 digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Chainlink, and its own shares are up about 32% so far this year.

Staking is the newest step in a steady crypto build-out. The broker already lets clients move Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana in from outside wallets, fund accounts with stablecoins, and trade crypto futures and other products next to stocks, options and futures in one account. Its chief executive said the idea is simple: clients should be able to earn more from the assets they already hold, much like the firm's existing program that pays extra income on shares.

For traders, the timing matters. Ethereum is trading near $2,500 after a weak stretch of ETF outflows, so a fresh staking door at a huge mainstream broker could bring in longer-term holders and support sentiment. Traders will now watch whether staking demand grows, whether rival brokers copy the move, and whether ETH can hold its key levels while the wider market waits for the US inflation report.
