BREAKING: Basic Attention Token Explodes 67% in a Week to $0.18 — BAT Up 125% in a Month as Brave Activity Surges
Basic Attention Token, known as BAT, has suddenly become one of the hottest coins in the market. BAT jumped about 17% in the last 24 hours to around $0.18, taking its gain to about 67% in just seven days and about 125% in the last month, while most big coins were falling.
There is no single confirmed news behind the move. Reports point to a mix of altcoin rotation, a breakout from a long falling trendline, and rising on-chain activity, with more unique active addresses using the token. That mix has pulled in short-term traders who were looking for a strong mover outside Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The project behind BAT also has real users. BAT powers rewards inside the Brave browser, which now reports about 128 million monthly active users and about 53 million daily users. More than 200,000 people are also said to be on the waitlist for the upcoming Brave Rewards Card, which keeps attention on the token.
The rally stands out because the wider market is weak. Bitcoin is holding near $83,600 and Ethereum near $2,500, but many altcoins dropped in the last day. Even after this surge, BAT is still down about 26% compared with a year ago, so it has not yet recovered its longer-term losses.
For traders, the next move matters more than the headline. A rise this fast, about 125% in a month with no single clear catalyst, also brings a high risk of profit-taking if momentum fades. Traders will watch whether BAT can hold above its breakout area, or whether sellers step in after the big weekly run.
