BREAKING: Nasdaq-Listed Tron Sets Up $200 Million Share Sale to Buy More TRX — Treasury Already Holds $237 Million
Under the plan, the company can sell new shares gradually into the open market through Clear Street, which acts as sales agent and can earn a commission of up to 3%. The $200 million figure is a ceiling, not a promise: Tron Inc. does not have to sell the full amount, and it can speed up, slow down or pause the sales depending on market conditions.
The buying machine is already running. The company's treasury holds about 718.9 million TRX, worth roughly $237 million at recent prices, and its latest purchase added about 149,369 TRX at an average price near $0.3347. A separate program announced earlier this year has been buying about $50,000 worth of TRX every day for 360 days, and the company says it plans to stake most of its holdings to earn yield.
Stock investors, however, reacted with worry about dilution. Tron Inc. shares opened about 4.7% lower on Thursday, extending a slide of roughly 67% over the past 12 months. Selling new shares raises cash for TRX buying, but it also spreads the company across more shares, which can weigh on the stock price.
For TRX traders, the news cuts both ways. A well-funded, steady buyer can add constant demand under the token — TRX was one of the few big coins in green on a day when Bitcoin and Ethereum fell — but real buying only happens if the shares actually sell. Traders will be watching the next filings and treasury updates to see how much of the $200 million turns into real TRX purchases.
