BREAKING: Bitcoin ETFs Bounce Back With $176 Million in Inflows — Fidelity Leads the Return as Ether Funds Turn Green
Money is flowing back into US crypto ETFs. Spot Bitcoin funds recorded about $176 million in net inflows on Tuesday, October 13, a clear turnaround after a rough start to October, according to flow data compiled by SoSoValue.
Fidelity led the return. Its FBTC Bitcoin fund took in about $103 million on its own, close to 60% of the day's total. Ethereum funds also turned green with about $24.8 million in net inflows, led by Grayscale's Ethereum Mini Trust with about $16.7 million and Fidelity's Ether fund adding about $8.1 million.
The shift matters because the days before it were deep red. Bitcoin funds lost about $487 million on October 7 and another $244 million on October 8, and on Monday about $150 million left Bitcoin and Ethereum funds together in selling led by BlackRock. One strong inflow day does not erase that damage, but it shows big buyers were willing to step in again at lower prices.
The wider picture still favours Bitcoin over Ethereum. Over the last 30 days, Bitcoin ETFs have taken in more than $2 billion, while Ether ETFs have lost about $192 million. Bitcoin funds now hold roughly $100 billion in assets, compared with about $14.5 billion for Ether funds, so institutions are still treating Bitcoin as their main crypto position.
For traders, the next test is today's US inflation report. Bitcoin was holding near $83,500 and Ethereum near $2,500 as the ETF numbers landed. If inflation comes in soft and ETF inflows continue for a second day, Bitcoin's push toward $85,000 will look stronger. A hot report or a return to outflows would warn that this was only a one-day bounce.
